The mission of the DeWitt Chamber of Commerce is to foster a progressive local economic climate by providing resources and education for members to increase their value to their customers, employees and community.
The DeWitt Chamber of Commerce was established in November 1946 and has been a strong leader in the DeWitt community ever since. It is supported on a full-time basis by Tami Petsche, Executive Director. Your questions will be answered and your worries eased by the enthusiasm and dedication of the staff. If you are thinking of relocating, you can even be taken on a complete community tour. You are always welcome to stop by. The phone number is 563-659-8500 and email is info@dewitt.org. Feel free to contact us!
The chamber office is located, along with the DeWitt Development Company, in a rebuilt historic German Hausbarn located at 1010 6th Avenue, which is in Lincoln Park. This building was dismantled in Niebuell, Germany and shipped to DeWitt where a host of volunteers rebuild the building as it was in Germany, including a thatched roof. A German museum filled memorabilia is located on the north end of the building and is open to visitors.
The DeWitt Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors is comprised of voluntary community leaders, which meet on a monthly basis. Programs are conducted to support area business in retail, industrial and commercial interests. From doctors to insurance agents, from the accountant to the owner of a local gift shop, these members volunteer their time to make the community cleaner, safer and more responsive to the needs of every resident.
